PADI BOAT DIVER

The PADI Boat Diver makes diving easy – just take one giant step off the back and you’re in the water! During the Boat Diver class you’ll go on a open water dive, which must be – you got it – conducted from a boat.  It’s a good idea, but not required, that you enroll in this program to learn the techniques and procedures for diving from different types of boats (inflatable boats, hard-hulled day boats, cabin cruisers, live-aboards, sailboats, etc.). That’s a good thing – the more boats you dive from, the more diving you to do!  

NOTE: Students must provide their own dive gear (complete gear rental is available).

COURSE COVERS

As part of your PADI Boat Diver class, you'll learn about and dive on the Narcosis II.

• Boat diving planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards

• Proper boat diving etiquette, including equipment storage and conduct

• Common boat terminology

• Specific and boat diving laws and ordinances for the Tampa Bay Area

• Overview of emergency and safety equipment needed on private and commercial dive boats
